Middle School Band Contest – Saturday, May 9 at Stevens HS
Friday – Half Day – Required band rehearsal from 12:00-12:45pm. (Students voted to not eat lunch first.)
Saturday -
6:30am - Eat a good breakfast at home
7:45am – Arrive at FBA. Meet by school office. Wear band polo and nice blue jeans.
Bring instrument and 3 contest pieces –
Mt. Vernon, Sakura, Egyptique.
8:00am – Depart on school bus. Students not in 7th/8th
grade have option to ride with parents. Parents of these students MUST attend
the contest. These students may eat lunch with us but will not be skating.
9:00am – Arrive at Stevens HS (600 N. Ellison Dr., San
Antonio, TX 78251)
9:30am – Band goes into warm-up room
10:00am – Performance time! Stevens’ Auditorium
10:15am – Get results. Bring FBA t-shirt and appropriate
shorts/jeans/pants to change
into.
10:30am – Load bus and depart for lunch. Students not going
to lunch or going skating should get picked up at this time at Stevens. Mrs.
Conard MUST see parents before taking your child and signing out.
11:00am-12:30pm – Lunch at __________________________. Bring money
for lunch! Parents have option to pick up students after lunch. Mrs.
Conard MUST see parents before taking your child and signing out.
12:30pm – Depart for Rollercade.
1:00pm-4:00pm – Skating at Rollercade. All who enter must
pay $5 admission fee. Those
that decide to skate pay extra $3
skate rental fee. Parents may pick up your child from the Rollercade
before 4pm. Mrs. Conard MUST see parents before taking your child and signing
out.
4:00pm – Load bus and depart for FBA.
4:30pm – Estimated arrival time at FBA. Parents, please be
here around 4:15pm so everyone can get home quickly.
Parents, if you are planning to attend the contest, lunch,
and skating and would like to volunteer as a chaperone, please contact Mrs.
Conard by Friday.
